Who I am
Hi, I am Gregory Walsh, the editor here. I test AI girlfriend apps so you do not have to gamble your money on the bad ones. Think of me as the guy who already downloaded all of them and has strong opinions. I started this site because every "best AI girlfriend" list I could find read like it was copied straight off the marketing page, not written by a guy who actually sat down and chatted with the thing. I wanted a place that tells the truth, even when an app I really wanted to like turned out to be a letdown.
How I test
Every review comes from a real account and, when it matters, a paid plan I bought with my own money. I do not take free premium access in exchange for coverage, because that quietly softens what a reviewer is willing to say. For each app I run the same quick checklist:
- Chat quality. Does it feel like texting a person, or like reading a script? I test flirty banter, longer heart-to-hearts, and playful back-and-forth.
- Memory. I drop specific details early, then check days later to see if they come back naturally.
- Real pricing. Not the sticker price, the price once you actually use the features. I burn through coins and tokens on purpose to see how fast they vanish.
- Privacy and safety. What the app stores, for how long, whether billing is discreet, and what the policy says about your data.
Scores are out of 10 and reflect the whole experience, not one shiny feature. When an app changes in a way that shifts my take, I go back, redo the testing, and stamp the piece with a fresh "updated" date.
How the site makes money
Some outbound links are affiliate links, which means I might earn a commission if you sign up. That never buys a better score or a higher ranking. I have recommended free apps over paid ones plenty of times, and I have given low scores to apps whose affiliate programs I am part of. If that ever stops being true, this site has failed at its one job.
